The Walsh 5
The CAM-16s are a small (9"W x 17.25"H x 11"D) two way speaker system. They are for small rooms and provides amazing performance from such a small system.

They use a 6.5" polycarbon woofers which play through a frameless grill to eliminate detractions. The tweeter has it own enclosure, placed on top of the main cabinet. This gives the system a very open, boxless sound. This placement also keeps the two drivers "in time"--the leading edge of an impulse arrives at the listener's ear at the same time from both drivers. The crossover keeps them "in phase"--the output of one driver never reduces the output of the other driver. The whole system is a coherent source just like every live source.

The tweeter enclosure is rotatable. This allows more placement options. It also creates a very wide sweet-sweep. Several listeners can hear a precise, firm, stereo image. On good recordings, each performer can be located in soundspace in width, height and depth. Several listeners can discuss and agree on the precise location.

The rated frequency response is 46 to 20,000 Hz +/- 4 dB. The Cam-16s can handle up to 85 watts into its 6 ohm rating and has an 89 dB sensitivity. They have a dynamic headroom of 5 dB so they can handle transient peaks of 300 watts!

The Cam-16s received rave reviews from the New York Times and most of the audio specialty magazines. Even the top consumers magazine recommended it for accuracy and bass from a small speaker.

Good Luck.
