The Ohm G2 used the original Ohm G cabinet with the second generation Walsh 2 driver. The G conventional-looking cabinet had a 10'' passive radiator to extend the deepest bass. It came in either the controlled dispersion version of the Walsh 2 (creating Full Room Stereo) or in the 360 degree Omnidirectional version like the original (used for the rear channel in home theater systems).
The surrond on the 10'' passive radiator requires periodic repair.
Upgrade Options:
The driver can be upgraded with the new Walsh 100 Mk-2 driver and 10'' passive radiator which allow for the bass to be extended down and the treble to have wider dispersion. All necessary parts can be installed with a screwdriver and takes only 10 minutes. The upgrade comes with a 3 Year Limited Parts & Labor Warranty.
Trade-In Options:
Ohm allows up to $1095 for the return of a complete undamaged pair of Ohm G2s
toward 25% of the purchase price of new Ohm speakers.
