Ohm's First Powered Subwoofer We are starting to ship a hybrid powered/passive version of our largest (in the rear) subwoofer: SB-4P It has same two passive channels as the SB-2A and a powered section that can be run off the Low Frequency Effects (LFE), or subwoofer output of your processor, or the speaker leads of a conventional stereo amplifier. The amplifier is powerful enough to drive the system to full output, so the passive sections don't need to be used to get maximum performance. The passive sections can be used to produce the deep bass in the rear channels that is lost in the LFE output on Dolby Stereo movies. The cost of the SB-4P is $1000.
